Aleen received a B.A.Sc. in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada in 2018. She then worked as a junior project manager and sales engineer for diesel fueled backup power systems before moving to Dublin in September 2020 to pursue a Master’s of Energy Systems at University College Dublin. Aleen first joined the Energy Institute as a research assistant on the EVCHIP project and has since transitioned into a PhD program at UCD. Her research interests include the impact of renewable and distributed energy resources on the electrical network and the integration of wind energy.
