Senior Power System Researcher
Amir Moshari joined the UCD Energy Institute as a Senior Power System Researcher in 2020. Amir works as the task leader of developing the flexibility roadmap for integrating 50% renewables into the EU power system by 2030 within the EU-SysFlex project. He received his PhD degree in power systems engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in 2015. His PhD dissertation was entitled “Short-term reliability modelling of wind-integrated power systems considering demand response programs”. Before joining the Energy Institute, he was an assistant professor at Niroo Research Institute from 2015 to 2020, serving as a project and program manager in many research projects. His research interests include power system reliability, flexibility and operation, demand-side management, and load forecasting.
