Seevani is a PhD researcher in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, UCD. Her current research is partly funded by NV Bekaert SA, Belgium, SFI Ireland and MaREI which involves modelling of slender wire structures subjected to finite displacements and rotations using Finite Volume Approach. This research is a part of an overall objective to create a computation suite for modelling different geometric configurations of wire ropes subjected to tension and torsional loads. Seevani holds a Master's degree in Structural Engineeing from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. Her key research interests are in the field of Computational Solid Mechanics, Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis and Finite Volume Approaches.
