Rohit is currently a PhD researcher at School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, UCD. His current research is on the stability analysis of non-smooth, nonlinear dynamical equations observed in fluid-elastic systems. In 2019 at UCD, he worked on the dynamic analysis of a double decked bridge subjected to moving loads and its control using tuned mass dampers. His PhD is on investigating dynamical systems subjected to noise, nonlinearity, and stochasticity. Prior to joining UCD, Rohit worked as a research assistant at IACS, India investigating non-linear quantum systems. He completed his BSc and MSc in physics in 2014 and 2016 with specialization in nonlinear dynamics and quantum field theory from University of Calcutta.
