Abhishek Tiwari started his doctoral degree in 2020 in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering under the supervision of Dr Damian Flynn. He is currently working as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher on “Scheduling and coordination of the aggregated WPP inertial (fast frequency) response resource within a high variable renewables power system” which is funded by European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. He obtained his BE degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bhilai Institute of Technology in 2014 and Master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2016. Before starting his PhD he worked as an analyst for Trucost, S&P Global for four years where he helped clients gain insights on their investments in the backdrop of changing policies for combating climate change. His research interests include renewable energy integration into the power system, electricity markets and energy economics.
